Deceiving food labelling

The British heart foundation did a survey where they interviewed 1454 parents aged between 16-64 years old with kids aged 15 or under. A staggering 92% of the mums are misled by health claims on packaging.
76% thought that a product was healthy it was ‘wholegrain’ (even though the sugar content was through the roof).
63% believed that a product was healthy if it had added vitamins and minerals (with some cereal products contain more saturated fat than cakes).
59% believed a product was healthy if it contained no artificial flavors or colors (relentless of calorie content pr 100gram).
Use of health claims and ‘greenwashing’ has become a popular marketing tool, and McDonalds was accused for trying to mislead costumers by changing their logo color from red to green earlier this year.
