Awarness campaigns

Here is a collection of my favorite awareness campaigns in the field of nutrition and health.
NYC ad
New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
NYC health realeased this very visual ad campaign in August this year (2009) as a harsh but important reminder of the reality of excess sugar consumption. I wonder if this campaign was based on the American Heart Association new guidelines on sugar intake?
Read ’em before you eat ’em,” the NYC Health Department calorie ads

From Oct 6 2008 , the calorie ads by New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene ask a very important question, If this is lunch- is there room for dinner? Straight to the point, I like that!

6omdagen
The creativity behind the ”have six (sex) a day” from the Danish Copenhagen Wholesale Market from back in 1999, is very impressive and entertaining. As the number six is pronounced ‘sex’ in Denmark the people behind this poster have used the eye-catching phrase and image of vegetables getting it on- to remind people to have just that, six a day.
I also suspect that this is somewhat of a parody of the catchphrase used in Australia to ‘have your five a day (referring to vegetable and fruit intake, and the expression to take a five minute break/ timeout).
