Boat trip in Swedish waters
The summer is not exactly going to waste here, the last two days me and Daniel went with his parents and his sister on a boat trip, soaking up the sun, swimming in the dark blue waters and barbequing ribs (perfectly done by his dad
).
This summer has been unbelievable and for the first time in years I have truly been able to relax and enjoy a well deserved vacation. There has been travel (to California and Nevada), parties (Surrender nightclub, Benny Benassi @ Steve Angelo) and my favorite thing, good food (lobster, seared tuna and the best ribs in the world!).
We are keeping it healthy thought, no point to pig out just cause it’s summer. There are plenty of ways to combine ribs to get a healthy dinner.
Remember to adjust your portion, and have a fresh salad and vegetables, and drop the Coke and have some refreshing mineral water instead. ‘Loka’ is quite popular here in Sweden, mine was with a drop of lemon.
What can I say, good company good food (provided my Daniels mum- a very good cook!) and good weather. Life is just plain good my dear, very very good. If summer was this great, then autumn and winter will be even better!
Steve Angello @ Port du Soleil Gothenburg, Sweden

Gothenburg must be the best place in the world to live this summer! Earlier this week we saw Benny Benassi perform live, and last night it was Steve Angello. Again it was me, my husband Daniel, his boss John, a friend Fredrik and another friend of ours Jonas.
After a few pre-drinks, consisting mainly of homemade sangria (yummy stuff!) we headed to Port du Soleil, a very sleek and contemporary night club/restaurant that is only open summertime. The lines were long, but we had no problem getting in (probably because they let in way to many people, well over the amount allowed I am guessing). We even managed to get a table in this over-crowded nightlub (a true blessing!), and enjoyed the fabulous sounds of Steve Angello (real name Steve Angello Josefsson Fragogianni), one of the top House DJ’s in the world.
I would love to put up some pictures and a video from last night, but my SD-card reader made my computer crash last night, so I have to get a new one . Ill get that done tomorrow. Until then, here are some pictures from Nattstad.se taken by our good friend and photographer Sebastian Mandrean.

Benny Benassi @ Trädgårn (Sweden, Gothenburg)
What a night! Last night me, Daniel and John S. went to Trädgårn where Benny Benassi performed. He is among the top ten best DJ’s in the world according to some magazines, and my favorite song ‘Satisfaction’ is probably the one he is most know for. In 2008 he actually won the Best Remixed Recording at the 50th Grammy Awards for his very popular remix of Public Enemy’s Bring the Noise. Not bad! Did you know that he is worth 12 million dollars (according to celebritynetworth.com). Last night I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with this mega-hit Italian DJ, as he only played very few of his known songs, and instead spent most time playing rave- a style I am not a very big fan of. When he played ‘Satisfaction’ the floor got crowded with people, but as soon as he started playing (from his latest album Rock and Rave I believe) only non-vocal two thirds of the people left. Just before we went home we noticed that there had been more people there when Johan Wedel (the warmup-DJ ) performed, and I am sure he didn’t cost as much as B.Benassi did. He had an awesome energy and I liked his style. Well, the people who made this night happen, Nattstad, did not disappoint. The venue, Trädgårn is probably one of the best venues for this kind of thing, and everything was top-notch. Thank you for the VIP guys, and for a very good night indeed (at a very affordable price!). here are some pictures from last night:
Tuesdays @ Locatelli in Sweden Gothenburg
Back from USA, we have a lot of going out to do to catch up with the rest of the crew. I love going out, and this summer we are planning on testing a lot of new places in Gothenburg. Tuesday we went to Locatelli for a few hours, nothing big, just a relaxed day in good company. J and K got wasted thought, and that was a bit annoying as I much more prefer the guys sober. Locatelli is a nice place, you pay 60 SEK for entrance and they serve free hotdogs (warning! The hot dogs taste like s***) and popcorn once you get in. It is cozy and laidback and hosts a more ‘mature’ clientele that seem to go there mostly to have late-night love and war discussions. I’ll probably go there again.

Trollhattan strongest man (Trollhättans stärkasta man) 2010
Here we go, here are some pictures from Trollhattans strongest man 2010. With permission from Robin and Jonas I’ve borrowed some pictures for the website from their facebook (pictures and video). The competition was last saturday and Jonas placed 8th an Robin on 6th place. Congrats guys, you’ll make it in the top three next year!

I am definitely jetlagged!
This is insane. I am wide awake at 4-5 am, and I am finding it impossible to wake up before 4 pm. Yesterday I had the worst headache I have had in months, and threw up all night, at seven am my husband dragged me to his grandmother for some pampering. Sadly enough I couldn’t eat anything besides an egg (a damn good egg), and we had to go back home where I collapsed on the bed again. Therefore we had to cancel our planned trip to Trollhättan where our friend Jonas was going to compete in a sort of strong man competition. He placed 8th, and his mate on 6th place, congrats Jonas and Robin! They celebrated the whole ordeal with a night out so I haven’t seen any pictures yet, but I’ll nag them when they wake up ![]()

Did you know that…
…apparently I have about 1850 pictures from the trip? So this will take some time…. Give me the weekend and I’ll get some pictures online. I have to resize them etc or the website is will be going to get really slow. Tomorrow a mate of mine is competing in a strong man competition,( good luck Jonas! ) so I’ll be gone the whole day, but I’ll post some pictures and even a smaller video if he lets me in the evening. Ciao!
Here is a picture from a small barbeque today, which went really well apart from the fact that we mixed up Celsius with Fahrenheit and therefore tried to roast 1.5 kilo of meat at a temperature of 125 C, or 250 F. A bit chewy…hm…

Hello there Sweden (back from USA)
I am back in Sweden, and since it is currently 6 30 am and I am wide awake I assume that I am suffering from desynchronosis (also known as jetlag). “A physiological condition which is a consequence of alterations to circadian rhythms; ….results from rapid long-distance transmeridian travel …” (Wiki). My husband for some weird reason is asleep; battling the unusual 30 degrees (Celsius) and the lack of an air conditioner. I know I should have updated my blog earlier (much much earlier) than this, but in San Francisco my laptop wouldn’t get online, and in Las Vegas there was no time, and by the time I came to San Diego I decided to do it when I got home.
I’ll just have to wait until my dear husband wakes up so I can sort out the deal with the pictures, and then I’ll post the pictures you guys have been nagging me about. I’ll first leave you with this amusing mail I received from my mum a few days ago:
Hey! and hey!!
I am in Oslo – where are you?! Not much new on your blog, ha!; U globe trotter ….
Love you lots, regards, Mom
Love you too mum, love you too
Currently in Los Angeles
Hey people! Sorry for the long wait! I am in Los Angeles with friends right now, and we have been so busy that I haven’t had any time to update my website or blog. I know, I have been a bad girl
.The fascination with the rather large (in size) population and the hunt for eatable food in this stunning city has distracted me. Looking at massive gates and tall bushes in search for celebrities, and driving for a freakin hour to take a picture of a tiny Hollywood sign in the horizon and arguing with a big Mexican dude and a small (but very angry) Koroean guy over a stolen burger and two cokes , yes time sure goes by fast with memorable moments like those.I can’t write much right now as we are driving to San Francisco tomorrow really early. BUT, I’ll fill you in on the details of my roadtrip in California when I get to San Francisco, obviously I have lots and lots to share with YOU.
